This would take a lot more work on the coding side, but think how cool this would be…

1.) You tell Waze what your normal commute is.
2.) You tell Waze roughly what time you leave in the morning, and what time you need to be there.
3.) Waze’s servers regularly scan your route for traffic. If it detects traffic and notices that even with rerouting, you’re going to need to leave your house earlier than normal, it notifies you via text message or email, giving you time to wake up bit earlier, or skip breakfast…

And who wouldn’t even pay a little bit of money to subscribe to a notification service like that?

We are thinking about something like that as part of the personal route, but it is indeed a non trivial development, so it’s still only in the wish list.
