Why bother with ‘Emergency Vehicle’ notification? If on a call, by the time the notification has been made, the vehicle has moved!!! I have yet to see an emergency vehicle after being notified of there being one.
If it is stationary there are other notifications much more applicable.
This is distracting for the person making the notification and distracting for everyone receiving it.

Hi Tony,
Where abouts are you based? We issue alerts via Waze (Blue Light Alert® — Blue Light Maps), but they’re predictive based on the vehicles navigation system/route and speed so are pretty accurate.
There are other providers that just issue alerts based on a vehicles current location, which unfortunately are more likely to be inaccurate.

I am in Surrey (Weybridge). Strangely, since your message I actually saw an ambulance turn onto the road ahead of me and then got the warning.
I cannot help but feel these notifications are distracting, unnecessary and, to me, annoying. I do appreciate that is just my opinion.

Ah yes - that will be the South East Coast Ambulance Service, who are relying on a ‘current location’ system Digital alert system for drivers lets you know an ambulance is near - NHS South East Coast Ambulance Service
