For some reason Waze is routing to the back of this Aldi rather than into the car park. Ignores the traffic light junction which leads easily onto A4420 and then into car park in favour of a more difficult (right) turn into a residential road. Any way we can fix ignored entry points here?
I get no issue with this location, would you give more detail on what search result is causing this issue, have you cleared all previous drives from your history / saved locations to ensure you are using new data.
I was curious about this so had a quick look. I tried the Livemap and, sure enough, navigating to “Aldi, Silverwoods Way” gave the route the OP described. Setting a point in the car park as the destination gave the desired route. I see the store isn’t linked to the Google place - is that causing the issue? Just curious/wanting to learn what goes wrong when it does…
Thanks
Martin
Ah, it does seem to be fixed on the app now. I had this issue when I drove down there about a month ago but didn’t think to re-check it after seeing it was still wonky on the livemap. I think mapping the signposted disallowed turn from the residential roads fixed the app routing here.
So I guess this can be ignored unless it needs to be fixed for livemap routing?
The store is linked to the Google Maps location. LiveMap refuses to use Waze data and will always use Google data over our own, because Waze don’t trust the countless hours of its volunteer editors I guess.
I made the Google maps comment as I couldn’t see it but maybe it doesn’t show if it’s outside your area? I thought the whole point of the Google link was so that we could override Google data? Have things changed or have I misunderstood?
Thanks
Have you tried the route in your app. The app and LiveMap have never been the same, neither their update schedule or the sources they use for navigation. We have only ever cared about the app as no one uses the LiveMap for actual navigation.
Of course it would be nice if both were the same map and gave the same results but, I for one don’t have the energy to fight Waze on that one.
