I don’t know what have happen the last 3 to 6 month.
Before Waze was almost spot on, on my commute to work. maybe 1 or 2 minutes off, give and take. It’s a 50 minutes commute
But lately it’s like 10 minutes off, and it does adjust the time until the end of the drive. See the picture. 4,9KM left, and that should take 11 minutes :o That would be an avarage speed below 30KM/h with only two turns and a speed limit of 80 KM/h. In real time it takes 5 minutes. (average speed af 60KM/h)
I’m working at different times, and right now it’s 2AM, and i still tells me it will take 1 hour and 2 minutes to get home.
Just for the reference Google Maps says 55 minutes at the exact same route.
That was how my old TomTom Go 910 worked, it always cut time of when closing in on destination.
This could be a goodbye to Waze, if one can’t relay on ETA
I’ve moved this to a local forum so that editors can look into it. The fact that you describe it has changed all of a sudden in the last 3-6 months and that it hasn’t corrected itself overtime as you were driving to and from work suggests that it may be due to a mapping error which may have been introduced by a newbie editor or involuntarily by someone else.
If you can share relative locations (not exact addresses) of your home-work-home itinerary, it will be possible to check the map for possible mistakes that influence routing in a negative way and try to fix them.
I think you need to be a little more specific and also give the streetnames to allow pinpointing the problematic area. I also commute a long distance (Rønnede to Nærum) which is a 60min drive and here the ETA is almost spot on, so I don’t think it is a general error introduced in Waze.
I commute from Asnæs to Holbæk and back everyday (small world ), and my ETA’s are usually only a couple of minutes wrong at most.
Sounds like you have a difficult point you need to find on your commute :?
