Australia recently had an import of EVCS from the partner, in my state mostly from a brand “ChargeHub”.
During the import, the brand is inserted into the PUR, and can be accepted and the place saved. Unfortunately that brand does not appear in the country list of brands, so there are 2 issues.
1- (minor) - if the brand drop down is selected in WME, you have to select another brand, as the imported brand is no longer able to be chosen.
2- (main issue) - EVCS saved into WME are not surfaced in the app, I believe as the brand is not recognised. This means they do not appear in the app when using the EV features like “Find” - “EV charging”, and I am having trouble finding the locations even with a brute force search - all results returned are for the Google Maps places, not the Waze created places.
A solution appears to be to add the brand through the community hub, however this then requires each added station to be revisited in WME, and the brand selected from the drop down box when editing the venue, for it to finally surface in WME. We have no visibility of which EVCS place points are “ghost” - in that they appear in WME but not in the app.
