Faulty Voice Command (Top Gear)

I find the default voice, that nasal whiny woman, really annoying so logged in to try something else. Had a fiddle in my account, went for a drive and found I must have left the Top Gear voices as my choice (I hadn’t intended to, they’re as annoting as that woman).

I’ll be getting rid of it but in the meantime I’ve noticed that whenever the James May voice has to pronounce the letter ‘T’ at the beginning of a word it’s either missing or sounds like a ‘D’. I’ve just wasted half an hour trying to find a way to report this via this forum and given up. Any clues?

I can’t say I noticed this when I used the voice, but I’m not saying you’re wrong. :wink: I only used it a few times when my kids insisted - otherwise it’s far more useful having a voice that includes street names. Personally I use Thomas.

If the problem is with the original recordings - well there’s no realistic chance of getting it fixed. No doubt the recording session was many months ago and they aren’t going to get James May back again to re-record messages for a promotional voice. The promotional voices are rarely available for more than a month or two so, by the time they could book a recording studio, the promotion would be over.

If it was one of the standard voices it might be possible to get something changed (I think they are supplied by Google) but, if you’re not going to listen to the 3 Stooges anyway, I wouldn’t worry about it. :slight_smile:
