Feature Request for the Map Editor

PLEASE add a button to the map editor that allows you to easily contact the user who has locked a roadway segment. It is quite a hassle to go to the forum and create a request. The map editor web page has all the data needed to generate a request to the user who locked the road segment.

Also, if a map error is reported from the client, the segment should be automatically unlocked after a predetermined time. That would give the user who locked it the chance to do their job. But also, give the rest of us the chance to clean up their mess. There are too many users locking road segments and obviously walking away from the responsibility to maintain that segment.

I just email that person directly with the permalink. If I don’t get a response within a couple of hours, I’ll ask 3 others to do it. If I don’t get a response by the end of the day, I’ll either double the request or I’ll post it on the forum. Usually, you’ll get a faster response if you email them directly.
