Hi,
I’m an area editor and I miss a functionnality “Compute itinerary” in the live map editor.
It would be very usefull to verify very quickly if there is no break in the link between two points (and detect a misconnection of two roads or a bad interdiction to turn for instance).
I found that the functionality exists in the “live map” but :
- not in the “map editor”
- and even in the “live map”, it misses a convinient functionality (drag&drop or mouse clic or something else) to define the starting and ending points)

Herve
Can you drag/drop and do routing tests in google map maker vs. google maps?
You could also try the Route Checker add-on: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=819&t=64777
It allows checking of routes in the editor. No drag 'n drop though.
This still only works on the updated tiles. A tile update must complete before it will use newly added roads. So it is exactly the same as livemap and you have to wait equally as long to test routes. The only thing this script allows for is not have to leave the editor.
Exactly. I should have clarified it more from my previous post.
Thanx nonetheless.
Yes ! and it is a real improvement for the area managers.
Well done and thanks to all the developers !
