I would like to inform Waze of road closure dates for a rally

However, neither the app nor we volunteer editors can guess which rally you are talking about :winking_face_with_tongue:

Could you provide us with more details about it?

  • which roads are closed? (name, town)
  • which days? what times?
  • are the official decrees available online? (pdf, website, etc.)

To avoid bothering you, I wanted to do it myself, but apparently I don’t have access to indicate a future road closure.

This concerns the Tour de Corse Historique next week from Monday to Saturday, and it involves 25 different special stages.

How would you like to proceed?

Map edits are tiered.
Each type of edit requires a level; I imagine you are Level 1, with no edits. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

It will therefore be impossible for you to add a road closure. :grimacing:

In this case, I will first check if Waze is already aware of this information. If not, an editor will have to add the closures for each of the 25 stages, using the information made available to the public (because yes, we aren’t mind readers) :wink:

For any information, feel free to share it via this forum thread.
(P.S.: we are in a roadworks category; this should have been in: events. Another forum category :slightly_smiling_face:)

By “source”, we simply mean the origin of the information. It is an important concept because it provides valuable elements …

An editor will take care of the closures so that they are ready on D-Day.

I’m part of the organization; I handle the route and specifically ensure road users have the right information so they don’t take the closed roads on the big day.

I’ll send you the daily listing in a second email tomorrow morning at dawn.

Hello, I’m taking advantage of this forum because you guys are awesome.
I’ve created a new Waze account for my company to report rally road closures, but is it possible to sync my personal account since I had a lot of badges and rewards?

Furthermore, how can I become an editor? Since I have about thirty rally events per year, it would be beneficial if I could indicate the affected roads myself without bothering you.
