Dear Waze Regional Coordinators,

I hope you are doing well.

My name is Thahir Nafees, and I am part of the Mobility / Event Transport planning team working under the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy in Qatar.

I am currently a Level 1 editor (username: thahirnafeessayid, registered email: t.sayid@sc.qa), and I’m requesting temporary Level 3 access to mark official road closures related to major upcoming events, including the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025 and the Arab Cup operations.

These closures will primarily cover the Lusail and Al Bayt Stadium precincts, as well as key access and parking routes managed by the Traffic & Transport Coordination Centre (TTCC). The goal is to ensure Waze navigation accurately reflects temporary road restrictions and diversions during event periods.

Requested duration: From November 3, 2025, until December 18, 2025
Purpose: Event road closures, diversions, and access control for major tournament operations in Qatar
Locations: Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, and surrounding access corridors
Reference: TTCC / Mobility Functional Area, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy

If a direct access upgrade is not possible, I would appreciate being connected with a regional Level 3+ editor who can assist in publishing these closures based on our approved operational data.

The main goal is to ensure that all drivers using this platform are aware of the closures and related details. It doesn’t matter who posts it — the important thing is that drivers receive accurate and reliable information.

The closures are effective from today until November 27.

It’s better to join us on the Discord server to explain things more accurately and to add the rest of the images, since you mentioned there are multiple locations. Also, the streets that need to be closed during the day must be specified (whether it’s for certain hours or the whole day).
