Travis rd at IN-37 (soon to be I-69) is listed as closed across the highway. This is making the map think that you cannot drive on IN-37 but you can. Can the segment of road closure be removed on the portion that is on the highway.
Should be fixed.
It doesn’t seem to be fixed. Does it take time to update?
Is all of Travis rd open? I’ll check with the editor that closed it.
I found information on the Travis Rd closure here:
http://www.dailyjournal.net/2021/01/19/traffic-alert-local-work-starting-to-prepare-for-i-69-construction/
I left the closures in place on Travis, but the IN-37 nodes should now be open. Am I misunderstanding?
Yes that is correct, but it doesn’t appear that the IN-37 nodes being open are allowing travel down IN-37 still. It still keeps trying to detour me around that closure.
Travis rd is not actually closed you just cannot turn on and off it onto IN-37 anymore
Got it. I removed closures - which occur in real time.
The turn restrictions between Travis and 37 will take a map update which should happen in a day or 2.
I suspect all access to the highway from Travis will be closed by Monday sometime, based on what i’ve been reading on the INDOT I-69 page…
I drove South through this area an hour or so ago. there were no barricades on Travis, but there were orange barrels restricting access to the turn lane, and a sign warning of the upcoming closure. Also, there were detour signs in place for both Travis and Stones Crossing starting back at Smith Valley. Based on this and what i’ve been reading on the INDOT website, I expect a permanent closure to begin within the next few days.
