I want to give my son some way of seeing where I am at all times. Not anybody else, just me. Not necessarily in car but wherever my phone or tablet is located. Is this possible and if so how? I was just going to start using the follow feature in Google maps when they announced the discontinuing of that feature as of this month. Need to figure this out before leaving on Monday.
Hi – there is no option for this in Waze as it’s designed to be a commuter app. Most operating systems make this feature available natively (Apple iOS or Android). There are numerous apps out there that you can pay a small monthly or annual fee for as well that allow to you share location info with specific people/devices.
Why not use the shared location feature in Google Maps?
Just use the Share location feature on Google Maps, really straight forward and easy to use, you have the option of setting “until I turn it off” then he’ll always see you on a Google map when he’s logged in.
