Same issue here. Seems [img] is disabled in the signature.
I lost all my [Img] from signature and it can’t be replace again!
No IMG button!
All the image button did was to insert an [img] tag. Works fine if you just type it in.
Have you tried? I’m getting a “You cannot use certain BBCodes: [img].” error message. Now I’ll just hold off updating my signature 
Oops, no, I did not try. I thought you were ‘only’ missing the button. I get the same error message when attempting to update my sig using an [img] tag.
Seems like someone has been adjusting the settings in the admin panel.

I tried to update my signature and am having the same problem.

Yep I actually saw that but wanted to point out the format problem.
At least signatures previously created with [img] ON are still working.
I sent a PM to a forum admin (not staff) so that he can try to look into it.
Existing signatures are preserved. I was trying to edit them but now I’m gonna wait till they clarify or re-enable the IMG BBCode
Yes, I tried that, but I had to delete the / to save. I figured this way when it gets turned back on I’ll just insert the /.

So I heard back from the forum admin I had asked and he said that the settings did indicate that img was ON for signatures. He felt that maybe staff had turned it off somehow for good reasons and wasn’t sure if he should try change anything.
Can you speak again to your admin? Now, as a SM when I send a PM, the recipient, who is usually new to editing, just sees my name, with nothing stating who I am. My IMG is turned off. Thanks

I had a poke around the Administrator panel, but could not see any setting to enable/disable the IMG tag. We might need staff to help with this one…
