I checked the issue with the BBCode.
It was disabled on purpose due to possible security threats against forum users. Uploading an image with malicious content can harm your accounts.
The IFS team is working on a solution, meanwhile please upload your images to the Wiki and use the URL option.
He uploaded it to one part of the wiki via this link https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/images/5/5e/Sig_copy.png, but this sounds like asking us to create a lot of other images just for the purpose of adding signatures
I noticed my forum post count in my dashboard hasn’t updated in several weeks. All other stats are updating daily, just not the post count. Could this be related somehow to the signature issue, like maybe they tweaked something else at the same time?
It does not matter where the images are being kept
It is not possible at this time for ordinary users to modify the signature if the final result will contain images.
For some reason, the permission for regular users to use the [img] BBCode tag IN THE SIGNATURE has been forbidden.
At this time, most users do not have permission to use this tag IN THE SIGNATURE.
Admin users are still able to do this, because admins have all permissions.
So if someone were to upload the various signature png’s to the wiki, we could replace the IMG codes with URL codes and get a working signature?
Or would it be better to wait for an official solution to the IMG issue?
An alternative fix would be for Waze to give us a ‘drop box’ where we could drop pictures.
They could scan the drops and remove any malware infected items.
They would ‘host’ the vetted items and allow us to use only items on that server.
