Hello,
In the UK Diesel Ultimate is a more commonly used fuel than LPG.
Do you have any plans to add this option to the fuel price update? If not then could the LPG header be changed to Diesel Ultimate for UK petrol stations?
Thanks
Michelle

There are no plans to add any fuel types to Waze.
Although Diesel Ultimate may be more used that LPG, the need to find that fuel is far less important than the need to find LPG. A vehicle that runs on Diesel Ultimate can run on normal diesel. If you really want Ultimate and it’s not available, you can, at worst, put in a bit of normal diesel until you can find some Ultimate. If your vehicle runs on LPG, there are far fewer outlets available so you have more need to be able to find one - and you can’t run on something else.
So there’s no chance we would change the LPG naming to Diesel Ultimate - even if it was within our control, which it isn’t. The choice of fuels has been made by Waze.
It is however a fair question to ask given the presence of Super Unleaded in the price list, for which the same argument could be made regarding the necessity to list it at all.
TBH, I’d be happy to drop Super UL entirely and just have the three basic fuel types available for editing/display in the app - it’s rare for super UL to be listed on the roadside price boards, so chances are that the prices shown in the app are less likely to be correct for super UL than the other fuel types, thus reducing the value of having its price shown in the app at all.
What would be beneficial IMO is if we could define a list of available fuel types for each filling station place within WME, avoiding the need for the app to them try (badly) inferring which fuels may be available from the price data.
Because, according to the app, if I search for LPG filling stations right now whilst sat at home, it’s quite happy to list what appears to be every single filling station (19 of them in all) within roughly 3 miles even though I know that several on the list don’t sell the stuff, and I have my doubts about most of the others on the list too.
So the argument that we need to be able to enter LPG prices in order to allow the app to then locate stations that sell it doesn’t seem to add up here anyway - anyone relying on Waze to find LPG in this area would be insane…
And now I come to think of it, I’m not sure this is even a concern - all the vehicles I’ve seen that can run on LPG can also run on petrol.
