The big rebuild: Tennessee eyes $100 million redesign of I-75/24 split

The $100 million-plus project is part of a larger I-75 corridor study that also calls for widening the highway to eight lanes from the Georgia line to I-24; improving exit and entry at the East Brainerd Road interchange and adding more lanes to I-75 between exit 11 at Collegedale and exit 20 in Cleveland, all by 2029.

This is gonna be exciting. But I still think they need to improve I-24 Eastbound in the city, when taking the slope up the hill. That hill causes a slowdown for the entire length of the city. I never really have much slow down, going from I-24 East to I-75 North, even during Rush Hour, after that hill.

I absolutely agree. The ridge cut is horrible during rush hour and this will do little to help. I think that alleviating the ridge cut should be a higher priority than this.
