Garden Plain has 3 railroad crossings listed but:
-
The road 295 St S has had the rails removed and it is paved over. There are rails on each side of the road but not actually crossing the road.
-
The Road S Sedgwick Street is actually closed where it crosses the mainline. Permanent barricades were erected. The siding has been removed and there appears to be local traffic that traverses the location of the old siding and heading west to Main st. There appears to be little traffic on that however. It is just a dirt track and not really a road. The tracks are present on the mainline however.
-
N Main Street has also been paved over and the rails removed. The siding is also paved over. However the tracks are still present on either side of the road.
So should these crossings be removed? I get alerts for train tracks but there will be no more trains at any of these 3 crossings again without construction occurring.
Thanks,
