Since I am going on vacation soon (woohoo) And ofcourse I want to use waze.
But I read a lot of things… from:
“having waze on a phone in your car (locked/not in use) is reason to get fined in France”
but on the french forum there is something like:
“just uncheck the policecontrol on your map-settings”
I’m a bit in the dark here… because when you look at coyote, you have to download a certificate so that you can proove that that is legal… how about waze :?:
Well, there is indeed a lot to do about Waze in France, more specific, about the use of the speed cam warnings.
As far as the legal advice goes, it indeed states that you should put de option off in Waze…
On the other hand… how big is the chance…
Hi, officially in France, it is forbidden to show the exact place of speed cameras and police controls. The devices should indicate a larger “danger zone”.
But don’t be afraid, there is no risk. A policeman is not allowed to look at the apps you have on your phone…
Of course, in France we never turn on the option of speed cameras
But as we are a strange country, the cameras almost all available and the police controls usually indicated to
