I am new to Waze, but have been playing around a fair bit recently and noticed that when I’m on my mobile device, I have no issues with the Waze app. When I’m at home on my laptop, I use Chrome/Win10. The issue I noticed is connecting Google Accounts - but I’m not sure what.
When I attempt to connect to Waze, I click the “Connect to Google” option
I get the Google sign in screen. I authorize, provide my credentials, etc.
It appears to be working, but then I get this response on the Waze login page
Initially I was linking this to the fact that I was connected to Chrome with one account, but selecting another account to connect through for Waze. I tried to eliminate that variable and used the same credentials for browser/Waze, but I got the same result.
Next, to eliminate the Profiles issue, I began trying other browsers:
- I went to Firefox. Same result.
- I tried the new Edge browser (v80) - Same result.
- I tried Opera (v66) - same result.
In the end, I have an account created in Waze. It’s new - but it was created in Waze, not a linked Google account. I want to link to my google account (hopefully). As well, my wife can link to her google account and login via google to her Waze account on this computer through her Chrome Profile-specific browser, etc.
Welcome to test and try any other tips and tricks to get this to work. And maybe I’m simply doing something wrong that’s so obvious, I should apologize in advance (just in case).
Appreciate the help - and am very much intrigued in become a Wazee (Wazer? Wazean?)
