Whenever there is an accident on the garden state parkway north bound between 135-137, there are issues on walnut avenue in cranford. The traffic from the GSP northbound is rerouted from exit 135 and to walnut avenue in cranford. The issue then brings all of the traffic into downtown cranford and causes major congestion. There are other routes to take as well as continuing on the garden state parkway. It is longer driving that way due to the additional traffic being routed that way that adds to regular traffic back ups. The traffic can be rerouted to Raritan road and back out and around to route 28 and then pick back up at GSP 137

I guess many GPS app (detecting real traffic) will potentially re-route drivers. Not just Waze.
