Gunnison County Road 46 Changes Needed URGENT

Waze thinks that Gunnison County Road 46 connects to US HWY 50 at its east end. IT DOES NOT! It is a dead end road 2.8 miles east of its westernmost intersection with County Road 45. Yesterday with HWY 50 temporarily closed Waze was routing vehicles east on CR 46 as though it connected to highway 50. It is still doing so as I type. Waze is sending people through two private ranches on a primitive former railroad bed! Yesterday we had numerous vehicles drive past our home following that advice resulting in one car failing to negotiate a turn and rolling onto its side with airbag deployment.
Please make the following changes ASAP;
Show CR 46 dead ending in the proper location
Change the posted speed limit from 55 mph to the posted 30 mph.
Confirm that the CR 46 is a gravel/dirt road
I am attaching an official Gunnison County road map that clearly shows the dead end.

Greetings,

CR-45 does not directly connect to US-50 in the Waze map. Do you have a user report in Waze that shows someone being routed this way? We do not see anything that would suggest drivers were being routed this way in Waze. That being said, we added some additional safeguards for no cut-through traffic at the Irby Ranches driveway near US-50 mile marker 179. Permalink here https://waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=38.42877&lon=-106.55774&marker=true&zoomLevel=15&segments=503312236

There may be other driving apps which would route users this way (Google, Apple) and we have no control over that. But the roads that connect from CR-45 to US-50 near the Gunnison - Saguatch county line will definitely not route anyone from CR-45 to US-50, in either direction.

Please let us know if you need any additional map updates here.

Thanks!

It is CR 46 NOT 45 that needs to be corrected. As of five minutes ago if I input a route from my home on CR46 to Denver, Waze still routes me east past the dead end of CR 46 onto an abandoned railroad bed through the Irby and Double Heart ranches. CR 46 dead ends .6 miles east of me (2.8 miles east of CR 45) I just looked at the map editor and no changes have yet been made. The speed limit is still 55 instead of 30. Perhaps if you look at the map link in my original message you will see the dead end of CR 46. I can provide a photo of the road Waze tells me to take if you prefer. This is a Waze problem that needs to be fixed.

CR-46 in Gunnison County is only connected to US-50 with two segments that previously had turn restrictions, but now are marked as private roads in Waze. If you are getting through routing, then perhaps you are already on one of those private roads. Here are all the segments in Waze we have mapped as CR-46: https://waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=38.43164&lon=-106.58621&marker=true&zoomLevel=16&segments=8647228,8663420,8663947,8663948,502819792,502819825,502819828,502819844

None of these segments have any speed limit defined. Please wait another day for the latest map updates to go live in the Waze app, then try to go back to the CR-45 intersection and get a route from there. From CR-45, it should not route you on CR-46 to get to US-50. But if you are already on one of the two private road segments in Waze, it will give you a route either to US-50 or to CR-46 depending on your desination. But it will not route anyone through those private road segments.

I’ll add that Tom simply had a typo. The changes he made would keep traffic from heading east on CR-46 to connect to US-50. Those changes should all be live now, but would not have been live yesterday.
