Houston County: Recent-ish Speed Limit Changes

Hello. To the map editor that finds this: I hope you are doing well.

Recently, I have noticed that some speed limits are now out of date on Waze in two places in Houston County, since they have been changed recently by the Georgia Department of Transportation. Apologies if two nearby locations are too much for one thread. Below are two affected road segments. Both are near the Bonaire, GA area.

  1. The speed limit on State Route 96 between Moody Road and State Route 247 has been updated from 45 mph to 55 mph in both directions.

  2. The speed limit on SR-247 between Industrial Park Dr. (Near Old Hawkinsville Rd.) and MLK Jr. Blvd. has been increased from 45mph to 50mph.

Thanks Colt. The speed limits have been updated. it will take a couple of days at least for the map to update before you will see the updated speed limits in the waze app.
