How to deal with "Unsuitable for Motors" signs?

Hello, it pretty much says what it is. I searched the forums but couldn’t find anything.

I’ve had a request that I change a road type that has this sign. I drove up it before and it seemed okay, a little awkward but okay.

https://www.waze.com/en-GB/editor/?env=row&lon=0.84763&lat=52.95697&s=70491415&zoom=7&mapUpdateRequest=10275387

The reporter would like me to change the road to unpaved. Is that the best option, or do I just leave it, and what’s the standard practice?

Cheers

You have a few options but to stop Waze routing through it use a Parking Lot Road or Private Road option

Thanks, I set it as a private road.

Private road would, indeed be suitable for this.

Regardless of whether or not the road is physically passable for cars (and it certainly looks that way from either end), the sign looks official and not to have been put up by over-zealous residents.

A Waze driver is likely to be using Waze because they don’t know where they are going and they will not be happy at being directed down a road with a sign that says they can’t get down it.

Private road will prevent Waze routing through this road, whilst still allowing routes to/from destinations on the road.
