(A130/A12) doesn’t seem to work quite right when I navigate it. It behaves as if there weren’t any roundabouts at all, and just proceeds with a list of turn left/right instructions (like all other satnavs) which are confusing.
Has anyone any experience of setting up this kind of junction? Would it be better for the two “broken” roundabouts to be made into unbroken roundabouts, but with a sections not leading to the “missing” part?
Yes that joyous roundabout, originally, it was two full roundabouts, with turn restrictions, and the two un drivable sections were marked as runways, it never gave correct instructions then either and there was concern waze may route round the closed sections.
I was advised to delete the undrivable sections, but that doesn’t seem to have helped. Perhaps it may just need rebuilding, I did wonder if it should be one big roundabout, but then the instructions could be confusing then.
I think it may take two or three map updates to get it working, but obviously what I did made no difference.
Ah excellent good to know that someone else has had a go. I’m going to leave it well alone!

I’m going in!! :ugeek:
Hopefully that should work now!
Interestingly, Catthorpe (https://world.waze.com/editor/?lon=-1.17727&lat=52.40573&zoom=6&layers=BFTFTTTTTTFTTTTTTTTTFT) has been done as one big roundabout.

Yeah I’ve seen them done like that. I think they’d be confusing though.

I guess it would depend on the road signs, I know the one we are looking at has road signs that show two individual roundabouts.
Although one problem I will say is waze doesnt appear to handle directions that are close together very well.
This similar junction https://world.waze.com/editor/?lon=-0.268&lat=51.74279&zoom=5&layers=BFTFTTTTTTFTTTTTTTTTFT&segments=149604498 is implemented as one large roundabout. It’s not a roundabout, however, so the driving directions are rather confusing. There’s another one in Watford that I’ve posted about before, if I remember correctly the problem is that if it’s implemented correctly (ie, not as a large roundabout) then it generates lots of URs.
Another similar one here, this is one isn’t even a roundabout let alone a double one.
Unsurprisingly there is a UR, road signs suggest a two roundabout formation… some of it is level 4 locked so need a CM to take a look.

That one’s very sloppy. Some of it is two way, combined entrance/exit nodes, landmark is messy and name doesn’t conform. Will take a look tonight unless someone gets there before me.
