How to respond to map editors

Good day,
This is a response to volunteer CTPoole on repeated reports for the same issue - it may be request 89403488. I am unable to figure out how to respond to your questions via the app or desktop.
answers to your questions are:
exact destination: 7988 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354-1611
Waze erroneously shows this to be on junction of FM 1488 and 2978.
The map shows the correct address, it is the voice guidance that is wrong.
I can provide map snapshots if needed.
Many thanks for always answering to reports, but we need a way to respond. The links I receive take me to a place where I cannot respond.

Can a moderator move this to Texas forum please?

Thanks

It’s in the Texas forum now. The issue is being worked and you will be responded to soon. Thanks for reaching out!

Respectfully,

Sean

Just to follow up on this part of the question while other editors are working on the reported issue, if you open the Waze app, tap the Search button, you should see your name at the top, tap your name, then select Inbox and you should see any messages that you have been sent. An example might be “New comment on a map issue you’re following”. If you tap that, you can reply back to the message from there.

Thank you but that feature only shows how many people I helped that week. My email no longer shows there. I am unable to answer the volunteers questions.

I can share my drives to show where the correct destination is located. Problem is the voice guidance is wrong, not the map Location. Respectfully, M Chapman.

In your original comment you said it shows the destination in the wrong place. It’s possible changes by jm6087 fixed that issue.

Can you explain what’s wrong with the voice guidance?

And if you’re not seeing things in your app inbox, you might have notifications set up wrong.

Mike is correct, I forgot to come back and comment after making adjustments.

Let us know if the changes made help.

Responses to “turbomkt” and “jm6087”
thanks for trying but the problem is still there. To clarify, I drive to that location everyday and use waze for traffic information.
Problem with voice guidance: Voice guidance erroneously states location over a mile before. Voice states location is at 6813 FM 1488. WRONG location is at 7988 FM 1488 - over a mile further West.
I hope my attachment is visible (screen shot of correct location and wrong voice guidance location.(unavailable attachment: Screen Shot 2020-09-02 at 14.11.42 PM.png.pdf)

If this is not enough information I do not know how else to explain the problem.

Also I have tried to find out why I do not receive emails through the app but cannot find the reason. I use an iPhone that is updated to the latest update from Apple.
Gentlemen, many thanks for your willingness to help.
respectfully,
M Chapman

Hello! It looks as though jm6087 made corrections to the Waze map which are currently reflected when searching. To get the best result, remove all prior searches for the H-E-B location, whether you searched by the name or its address. Updates we make on the map do not automatically reflect on your app. To do this, find it in your history, tap the three dots on the right side, then tap Remove. If you frequent this location, it may be in there more than once. If it’s in your favorites, you’ll need to remove it there also. Then, search “HEB, Magnolia” and tap Search. The H-E-B location you are looking for should appear in search results. Tap the result and look at it on the map to see that it is in the place you’re expecting. Starting navigation will save it to your history.

Are you choosing a previously saved location?
Have you cleared your search results?

What exactly are you entering into the app?
When you enter the above into the search box, what are you selecting?

Can you confirm if you removed the entry from your history? To do this, tap the Search button, and look through the list of items, tap the 3 dots, and then click the trash can. Restart Waze, and try searching again. I just tested using Waze in Live Maps (https://www.waze.com/livemap) and it came up in the location you reported in your PDF.

When I search for it, Waze links it to H E B in the right location.

Have you tried removing it and searching again? If you don’t, you will continue to get the bad location. This includes if it is set as Work or a favorite.

Tap the search button then the three dots next to the destination. From there tap Remove. If it’s Home/Work or in Favorites, you’ll have to go into Favorites and do the same thing there.

If that doesn’t work for you, there’s one more thing we can try.
