The I-85 S express lane or peach pass lane runs continuously. Currently, Waze advises to exit the lane N of State Route 20 (Mall of Ga exit Buford Dr) then re-enter 3 miles later S of State Route 20. Needs an edit. Thanks
It done the same thing to me in a different area further south. We have a bug report submitted to Waze developers for research.
There’s nothing we can do to improve the map there. That is most likely a limitation of GPS technology.
At that point, the PeachPass lane is immediately adjacent to the regular lanes. Consumer GPS is only accurate to about 16 feet, which is wider than a single lane (~12 feet). GPS inaccuracy is causing the speed data for the PeachPass lane and the regular lanes to get smudged together and sometimes even swapped.
Waze has some technology to mitigate the limitations of GPS accuracy, but of course until location accuracy is less than 12 feet, it will never be perfect.
