I think the signs have changed?

Hi - thanks to the awesome volunteers updating maps! I have unfortunately had to drive into DC from VA across 14th street bridge to Washington Hospital Center every day this week and the signs aren’t right. Waze says to take 395 North - stay in two right lanes and take D St NW US Senate. But the signs say to take - I-395 N, C St SW US Capitol/3rd street tunnel. If I ignore the fact that it’s telling me to get in the two right lanes to C Street and go past that exit looking for D street, it just has me turn around and go back.

I know there has been a lot construction down there due to the Wharf and spy museum and feel like the signs USED to say D street, but have now changed. I looked it up on Google maps and their directions say to follow signs for I395N/D st NW/US Senate/C St. SW/Capitol/The House" But the actual signs don’t say D street at all. I’ve attached photos of what Waze says on my GPS and what the actual signs say (and what Google Maps says in their directions from my desktop).

Hi, thanks for this info. The District Dept. of Transportation has been replacing a lot of signs along the I-395 corridor in recent months, so it’s not overly surprising that this one has changed. I’ll update the Waze map, although please note that it will likely take at least until Wednesday (and possibly longer) for the changes to appear in the app if you go that way again.

BTW, thanks for the photos. I am able to view them now while replying, although they didn’t actually make it into your post. This phpBB software has a weird two-step process for attachments. After you upload the file(s), you then have to select “Place inline” for them to appear as part of your message.
