I work in GIS for a local Municipality - how can I edit?

Hello,

I am a GIS Analyst for a municipality in Ontario and I am trying to update our mapping on Waze but I do not have permission to make the edits. From my googling, I understand that this is because I have not tracked a drive to these spots on Waze.

Is there any way for me to become authorized to edit via my municipality (such as we do with Google via Google Content Partners?) or is there somewhere that I can share my edit requests?

Hi there. Waze has a Waze for Cities program that you would be interested in. Joining that will allow you to edit your muncipality.

Hi Peter, thanks for this! Can I update POIs, roads, etc. using Waze for Cities or is it just for road closures and real-time updates? A little unsure when reading the language on the website.

The POIs and roads are done by the volunteer editors (I can help with that). The program is for the larger impact on routing and driver information that can come from the muncipality.
