Hello,
This is my first time being here. Only recently began using waze on a regular basis. Found few places that needed editing, but my requests are still pending approval. I read a post saying that I could post it in the community forums and someone would reach out. So here I am. Hope someone will reach out.
Approved. Some notes:
- For the church I moved the right border to not include the sidewalk, and removed the entry points in favour of adding a parking lot road, which removes the need for dual entry points. If you find yourself adding dual entry points without names, you might want to at least question if there is a better way, since the end user probably won’t know which one to pick either (when that entry point feature actually makes it to the app). In this case, the more appropriate entry point should be the main entrance to the building (where new visitors should be directed).
- For the factory, the entry point should again be the main entrance door where visitors should be directed. Employees should know where to go already, and they also have the ability to set a ‘Work’ favourite at any location of their choice.
- You don’t normally need to request place approval. Places have a built-in approval system, they will appear on the map with a purple bubble until they are approved by an editor working in the area. This should normally happen within 1-4 days depending on the editor activity in the area. If after 4 days you find it is still not approved, then you can post here or in the appropriate regional Discord channel (on-editors seems appropriate for KW area).
Also, if you haven’t already been there, check out the links in my signature below for additional reading materials appropriate for new editors. There’s lots to learn!
Thanks for approving my request. Very much appreciate the notes. I will keep in mind about the entry point being the main entrance to the building. I also understand that there is a build-in system for approval. These were my first two edits. Appreciate your notes, it’s helpful. Cheers.
