If Google owns Waze, why does Google maps get this right, but Waze doesn't?

It took many tries, but I got Google Maps to correctly place a dividing fence between two condo complexes (one of which is mine), because drivers were being routed through the driveways that connect the two. Obviously, with that dividing fence, driving through is impossible.

Happily, that success with the Google Maps team resulted in Google Maps correctly routing drivers via the surrounding public streets and not through the neighboring complex. Google Maps even shows that there is a tiny pedestrian pass through, though in my mind, that’s not critical. Still, yah Google.

Waze, however still sends drivers through the adjoining code complex.

I need to get Waze to recognize the dividing fence, just as Google Maps does.

Thanks for the post. I have disconnected the parking lots. This should be live with the next map update. This could be as early as tomorrow night.

If you don’t mind, please hit solved on the post so others know it is taken care of.
