Today I encountered a mistake in a Waze route. The route called for a left turn from 700 West in Midvale onto Wasatch Street. In the last year a concrete curb between the lanes has been erected at that point, which prevents the left turn.
Hello @JimThePurple,
Thanks for the post about the new median on 700 W in Midvale at Wasatch St. I am disabling the southbound left at that intersection, from 700 W to Wasatch St. Do you know if the curb also blocks traffic from westbound Wasatch St to southbound 700 W? Or other left turns in the immediate area, like NB 700 W to WB Wasatch Ave and EB Wasatch Ave to NB 700 W?
Thanks!
I’m sorry; I was imprecise in my report. The median prevents turning from northbound 700 W onto westbound Wasatch St and turning from eastbound Wasatch St onto northbound 700 W. Southbound 700 W to eastbound Wasatch St and westbound Wasatch St to southbound 700 W are unaffected.
Thanks for replying to clarify! I may have also misread the map because of how Wasatch St does a jog there, and we had it named Wasatch Ave on the other side, but it appears both sides should be “St”. That may have been why I assumed you were talking about a southbound left instead of a northbound left.
I am changing those turn restrictions to match your description and leaving a note for other editors to watch for imagery updates. Thanks again!
