Just like there are options for private vehicles, motorcycles, or taxis, there could be an option for trucks 
with specific routes for these vehicles, since in São Paulo/SP there are many streets where vehicles of this size cannot travel and there are special restrictions for this type of vehicle throughout the city, so this would help us truck drivers immensely.

It would indeed be very cool and would help a wide range of drivers in Brazil, but not to get your hopes up, Waze has no intention of including an option for trucks. At the moment, the chance of this happening is zero, unfortunately.
I live in São Paulo city — North Zone. And on my street, trucks/vans etc. are prohibited. There’s a huge sign prohibiting this type of vehicle, except for authorized vehicles, and every driver’s excuse is “Waze told me to come this way.” They’ve already knocked down house walls, they’ve left us without power for 2 days, all with the same excuse “Waze sent us down this street” — a street where a truck clearly doesn’t fit! It’s very hard to get anywhere with this; we’ve already contacted all the relevant traffic authorities in our region, but nothing can be done if the truck driver’s GPS keeps insisting on this route for them. If you aren’t going to add a “truck” option, then take the street in question off your route! I hope you resolve this, because the residents are the ones bearing the losses.

Waze does not support “Trucks”!
Some truck drivers use it “incorrectly”! And all drivers, before following a navigation app, must respect and obey traffic signs!
Responsibility lies solely and exclusively with the drivers, as there are signs prohibiting traffic for this type of vehicle!

If you search through other vehicle navigation apps, the vast majority state they are not intended for use in cargo vehicles, recommending them only for private passenger vehicles or taxis. This is a major issue when installing or purchasing a GPS navigation app and failing to read the usage policies. Since they lack support for trucks, there is no way to restrict a street, whether due to signs limiting weight, height, or length on the map. Likewise, there is no way to assume that every car passing through a certain street is doing so based on a Waze route suggestion.

Complementing the response from our great friends @denysdgcf and @LeoGregol, it is worth detailing a few reasons why Waze does not have — and does not have current plans for — an option geared towards trucks and large vehicles.
For a navigation app to guide a truck with total safety, the map database would need to map and process complex structural data that is not currently part of Waze’s scope. This includes:
- Height and Weight Clearances: It would be necessary to catalog the exact height of every bridge, overpass, and low-hanging wire, as well as the tonnage limit of every public road.
- Road Geometry: Mapping the turning radius at corners and the incline of steep hills where long or heavy vehicles cannot maneuver or climb.
- Dynamic Restriction Legislation: Cities like São Paulo have highly complex restriction zones (such as the Truck Rotation and the ZMRC — Maximum Circulation Restriction Zone), which vary by time, vehicle size, and cargo type.
Since Waze’s premise is to be an ecosystem focused on passenger vehicles (light), motorcycles, and taxis, adding these new attributes would require a complete overhaul of the global map’s data structure and editing tools.
Regarding the specific case of the North Zone (@nathalialoopess):
The volunteer editor community works rigorously to keep traffic flowing within the rules. However, we have no way to block a street solely for trucks without also blocking passenger cars for residents and local services.
If we close the street in the editor, passenger cars will also stop being routed through it. Therefore, unfortunately, the initial error lies with the professional drivers who use a tool unsuitable for their vehicle size and ignore local road signs, which must always prevail over any app.
