Good Morning
Could you please explain when traveling from Central Coast NSW to Everleigh NSW that Waze continues to advise me to go the wrong way. Instead of travelling from Pacific hwy onto the Gore Hill Fwy and then over th Harbour Bridge.
Waze continues to tell me to take Longueville Rd Epping Rd Centennial Rd. Burns Rd then Victoria Rd which is the opposite direction that i wish to travel.
Could you please fix this issue or i will have to rely on Google Maps and refer my colleuges to do the same

Could you check if you have avoid Tolls selected? Your preferred route appears to be a toll route.
Also could you be more specific abut your start and destination and the time of day as routes will vary greatly based on the actual end points and the expected traffic at that time.
I do not have avoid tolls selected
My trip starts at Glenning Valley travelling to Everleigh
My normal departure time is 0300 am
Kind Regards

You aren’t specific, I can’t investigate without exact endpoints.
edit:
from the rough testing I did, the two routes are only a few minutes difference, depending on traffic. There is also the construction work in north Sydney that might impact etas.
I just had two routes offered that were the same time but one cost $28 in tolls.
Good Morning
I depart my residence in Berkeley rd Glenning Valley at 3.10 AM to travel to work at the Transport Management Centre in Garden St Everleigh
I travel via the M1 Mtwy and Pacific Hwy thru to Chatswood
Waze then directs me to travel to Longeuville Rd then Epping Rd onto Burns Bay Rd onto Victoria Rd
It should direct me to travel onto the Gore Hill Fwy , Warringah Fwy, Sydney Harbour Bridge , Western Distributor, Harris st , Regent St , Henderson St into Garden Street
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your message, I’m one of the Waze volunteer map editors. Staff don’t monitor these forums. I’m sorry to hear you’re unsatisfied with the route you’re getting with Waze.
We checked the route you mentioned and we couldn’t* find any errors on the map that would cause a bad route. That’s the extent of what volunteer map editors can do sorry.
The route Waze provides is determined by the Waze routing server. It attempts to give you the “best” route - it generally keeps you to higher grade roads in the middle of your journey, considers time vs tolls, and uses real time conditions using data collected from other drivers on the road. That’s simply how Waze works and we don’t have any control over that. If you’re interested in reading more about how the routing server works, there’s a wiki page on it here.
If you’re unsatisfied with the route Waze is providing, you might consider not setting a destination, and instead free-driving. I’m sure you know the way to work, but you can still enjoy hazard reporting/alerts, as so many Wazers do this way. Ultimately though, if that still isn’t meeting your needs, I sincerely hope you’re able to find another app that meets your needs. Google Maps is popular, but that’s the only other app I have experience with.
Take care and drive safe,
