Waze brings Users to the backgate of our community which is an unmanned residents only gate requiring a transponder to gain entrance. The address of this gate is 9380 Weathered Stone Drive, Naples, FL 34120. The correct gate to enter the community is 8710 Quarry Drive, Naples, FL 34120.
Hi @NaugyDog thanks for reporting this to us. I took a look at the neighborhood and there are quite a few items that I updated/added.
1 - Added the uturns at the front before the guardhouse on Quarry Dr and Heritage Bay Blvd (looks like there is a third gate here, correct?)
2 - Added “gates” to all three entrances. This was not mapped properly and waze could have potentially been routing people through your neighborhood. This will now stop.
3 - Added a place over the main gate on Quarry called “The Quarry - Visitor Entrance” and also linked this to the google listing.
4 - Updated many turn prompts, added parking lot roads, etc.
These updates will require a map tile update, so you will not see them live on the app for at least a few days. The one thing we are not able to do is know when someone is a visitor or resident and route them to the appropriate gate(s). You will need to tell them the place name for the visitor entrance or the address there. Waze routes primarily for the resident as waze is a commuter app. It’s a no-win situation, we had to pick one or the other as we can’t accommodate both situations. As waze is primarily for someone going to/from work or to/from errands we decided for the resident as we get even more complaints when someone is routed to their home wrong every single time (and a resident would route there a lot more often than a visitor).
