Introducing myself as your new Community Manager!

Hi Wazers,
following the reorganization of Waze’s community world wide (you can read the post about it here), I wanted to introduce myself formally.
My name is Elizabeth (user ‘Lizcrime’), a member on the Social Media & Community team,
and I am the new Community Manger of the Austria & Germany, Italy and Switzerland communities.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you and working with you, and together we’ll be able to achieve great results that will best serve your communities and Waze.

I would like to share a questionnaire with you in which users can suggest themselves or other users to the roles of coordinators and / or experts.

Please complete the questionnaire by Monday February 4th.

I will publish the results and introduce the selected experts and coordinators by Thursday February 7th.

Thank you all!

Elizabeth

Edit:
Alles gut

Welcome Elizabeth,

Maybe you can clarify, who should fill out the questionaire?

Please also note that many users in Germany and Austria are not fluent in English.

@Eric and all
Das ist kein SPAM sondern ein erster Schritt der neuen Organisation, welche hier von Ori angekündigt wurde.

Well… Welcome here liz, what about Italy, still involved over there?

See her post in the Italian Forum

Hi Eric,
we are trying to give to each community a Manager who can help you to reach information and support more easily about Waze issues (it’s not SPAM).
the questionnaire can be filled by everyone, by whom is eligible to be a coordinator or expert (as we describe in the linked post) or by whom thinks there is a specific wazer who is eligible to be an expert or coordinator.
For the linguistic accessibility, could we find a solution together? Who can help me to translate messages or text in general?

Thats no problem here, liz, if you not write in suaheli

Hi, thank you very much for your welcome
yes, i’m still involved in the Italian Community but from today with your help i’ll be involved in the Austrian and German one!

I hope we’ll do a great work together!

Hi,
every community received a Community Manager so today we posted a message for our communities.

Thanks liz, i will hope so, let’s see if this process improves anything

Thanks Liz,

I think for the moment we’ll let it as-is. For those who don’t understand there’s still google translate. However, those people might not be interested to be a coordinator/expert anyway as it means communication in a foreign language.

Good luck!

Hi Liz,

Welcome and good to have a focal point of contact
No issues writing in English.
If there is important things to translate we can do that.
We have 2 - 3 people who are already translating the newsletter, so they can do translations to and from you too

Cheers,

Andi

I have to say I’m sorry!
It wasn’t meant to be mean… But on the first view I wasn’t really sure…
So lets start again

I’ll fill out the form directly.
Edit: (just filled it out  )
Hope to get good results here.

I agree. English shouldn’t be a big deal! (For most of us…!)

Yours,
Eric

Ok! Please hold the line!
( Bitte halten Sie Ihre Linie )

Hi, people who will not be able to understand English, please, ask your community coordinator or other Wazers who use to translate texts for your communities
I really would like to speak and write German (the true is that in the past i took lessons but i forgot because i didn’t practice it enough), maybe now it’s the good opportunity to do it.

Don’t worry, translations are the smallest problems in Waze  We keep our community informed.
And i suggest to not use google translate, liz… It ends up in very strange results

Regards
Argus

Edit: BTW, who is it???

The community coordinator and the Experts will be published on 7th of February.
Bye
Liz
