Issue with Search Results Not Being Sorted by Distance

Hello Waze Community, I’ve encountered a bug in the Waze app that I wanted to share, hoping to find a solution or to bring it to the attention of the development team for a fix.
**Bug Description:**When searching for a destination within the Waze app, the results appear to be sorted in a random order rather than by distance from my current location. This issue persists regardless of the search terms used or the current location.
**Steps to Reproduce:**1. Open the Waze app and tap on the search icon.2. Enter any destination or point of interest in the search bar.3. Observe the order of search results.
**Expected Behavior:**The search results should be sorted by proximity, with the closest destinations appearing at the top of the list.
**Actual Behavior:**The search results seem to be displayed in a random order, with no apparent sorting by distance.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:- Restarted the app and device.- Checked for and installed any app updates.- Verified location services are enabled and functioning.
Device Information:- Device: Google pixel 7pro- OS Version: android 14- Waze App Version: 4.103.0.1

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions on how to resolve it or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, if there are any updates or fixes planned for this bug, that information would be incredibly helpful. Thank you for your assistance and looking forward to any advice or information you can provide!

I am also encountering this issue and it’s very frustrating. Anytime I search for something, like my search today for a local UPS store, while not navigating to a destination, it sorted in a manner where results for UPS stores 29 and 35 miles away we’re showing up for pages until I got to my local four and 5 mile away options. I could understand if I was actively navigating somewhere and it thought those were closer along my route, but this is not the case. I simply opened Waze and searched.
