There is an improper road closure shown on Hwy 58. The Ed shows a closed road on drowning ford rd which is correct but is shows as crosssing Hwy 58. Hwy 58 is not closed and this forces improper routing.
The closure is on the segment of Drowning Ford Rd but does not affect the Hwy.

Routing goes on the highway for me.

When I plan a route from Abingdon to Damascus or visa versa it reroutes me around the area.
I believe this is because one end of the closure crosses under Hwy 58 and the navigator thinks that it crosses the Hwy.
it is very annoying because my visitors end going a log way out of the way.
The closure does go over the hwy but is not connected to the highway.
If you are getting routing avoiding this area it is because Waze thinks the other way is faster. Please try to use ROUTES to see the three fastest ways (distances and times are shown).
You can also try to route to Drowning Ford Rd and see if it avoids the area.
