Joining the PA WMEs

Hello, I am looking to join the PA Map Editors and ideally be granted approval to make edits in the state. Despite having suggested numerous edits over the years through the app, I have no real record on WME itself. I’ve lived in PA since 2022 and frequently make edit suggestions on Google Maps under the account commentingaccount64. I specialize in updating Wawa addresses as it relates to my job and frequently access public record to verify the accuracy.

I was attempting to add a new Wawa that is opening tomorrow at 10 Stonegate Drive, Northampton, PA 18067 which is a new address that only recently was added to Google Maps. https://maps.app.goo.gl/FsKm9jNLt8hQ94hKA Unfortunately I was not able to submit the changes, I guess because I haven’t actually driven past the site to verify?

I’d appreciate any guidance and advisement on how to get started here so I can start bringing my google map edit expertise over here.

Thanks for reaching out. When you start out, editing the map is dependent on where you have driven in the last 90 days while using Waze. Places and roads are locked to certain levels to protect the integrity of the map.

I’ve added the Wawa to that location. It will show up in the app in about 2 days.
