Kurdish Language Issue

Greetings,

I am writing to you to inform you that we, Kurdish people (northern region of Iraq), facing some serious issues regarding the font that is used on maps in the Waze app.

We use the Central Kurdish Keyboard, which is available on all platforms, for writing the names of places and cities. For some of the letters, they do not connect with the rest of the word.

I have attached some screenshots for a better understanding. We believe that there is some issue related to the font that is used on the map.

I recently have seen some improvement. For example, both WME and Live Map are correct. But in the app the problem is still persistent.

As you can notice on the app the problem has not been solved yet.

We raised this issue many times earlier. Many editors have also tried many times.

Thank you for the prompt response including the screenshots. I have come across a report for Livemap and WME in which the app was also mentioned as being affected. The fix was confirmed back in December, but most likely for Livemap and WME, not sure about the app. Can you please check for the latest Waze app update?

If the issue is still present after the update, we would need to file a new internal ticket for that.

Please note that I am using the latest version of the app which is v5.2.5.1 (Beta) on an Android phone.

Moreover, I also tested the same on a stable latest version of the app on the iOS system but unfortunately the issue still presents.

Since this is a Waze app issue, I would suggest reporting this issue on the Beta: Bug Reports forum. This way we can make sure the bug is triaged correctly.
