Hey David,
Yep, just remove the closure (I’ll add it back later if you are in hurry ;)).
Could you also add the junction with L5516 at Ballindillanig? (1st junction westbound towards Churchtown from N20)
Actually, the closure is between this junction and the N20.
Thanks!
Something’s not quite right with the editor right now - when I remove the closure, the segment still isn’t editable, and if I reload WME, the closure is still in place. I’ll try again later.
Can you explain again where the missing junction is, with a permalink? Is it the two-segment junction at the west end of the segment with the closure? If it’s that one, then I can’t change it until the closure can be removed.
I do notice there are a lot of missing segments in this area - I might give it a sweep in the near future.
You’re right. Just tried to update/remove the closure in WME (prod and beta) and got the same error “some of the actions are not allowed in this restricted mode”.
Here
I guess we need to wait until WME decides to let us remove the closure…
Ah, thanks for the explanation. I wouldn’t have guessed that you wanted a junction added where there was a no road I’ll look at this one too once the closure problem is sorted.
BTW, where are you getting the L-road numbers from? There are no signs visible in GSV.
From this notice from Cork County Council.
Not from OSM. (I’ve just added them there )
Btw, I also tried to update the closure (so that it expires in a few minutes) but got the same error message. So, I requested Waze to remove it… Let’s see.
Anyway, Wazers are not routed via this segment as it’s not connected. I initially set the closure just “to catch their attention”… (not too much)
Very good. OK, I’ve named the L1320 (but not completely: it still needs townland name(s)) and attached it to the N20. I’ve also created the L5516 junction at Ballindillanig, but left that unnamed until it can be mapped all the way (if I name it now, it’ll look complete to other editors unless they look really closely).
As I mentioned earlier, I’ll come past the area in a few days and go on a spree of creating missing roads and naming un-named roads.
It looks like the West bank of the river Awbeg is Ballindillanig and the East bank Imphrick (around the water treatment plant). The rest of Imphrick is the other side of N20 with a few houses whose address is attached to Imphrick in Eircode database.
