Hi,
I have added the service road for the houses behind the fence on Sale Lane but need someone to connect that section to the main Sale Lane as per link below. All turns should be allowed.
I have made it a street but am considering making it a private road to avoid routing. My reservation is due to the fact that it could be the best route to the far east part of Chester Rd from Sale Ln, especially since Clifton St is one way. Suggestions?

Looking at purely the aerials I would have said leave it and see how it routes, however looking at street view I would recommend a private road. If I were faced by that road I would not choose to use it as it looks like a private road to nowhere, I’d curse Waze and go somewhere else (both on the road and for my satnav needs).
My thinking is that as a narrow road, any speed data Waze gets will be low and therefore the road will be avoided for that reason. I guess I will leave it and see if anyone posts a UR.
You would hope so, just remember that sometimes it might still be quicker that way then via more traditional routes.
If this were a traditional parallel service road then I would be worried about off and ons being generated. In this case due to the blocked access at the southern end I don’t think that it would be wrong to tell a use to drive this way.
