A few things going on here: Permalink
The road is un-numbered for most of it’s length, it’s all A701
There’s a new road to connect at the bottom end by the bypass
Does it need re-locked after at all? There’s equally important roads in Edinburgh that sit happy at L1 and there’s no sophisticated junctions unlike, say, the A90.
I wasn’t quite sure which road you meant so I hope I got it right. As for locking, it is up to you as the area manager what you lock at. My own experience now is that, down south, locking at the maximum level allowed in the guidelines is sometimes still not enough to prevent damage to major roads. Maybe you have better editors up there? :o
