I would like to record that this toll bridge is free overnight, by creating on Waze a separate overlapping road which is time restricted but not toll; the same technique as used for the London Congestion Charge Zone.
If the L5 wants to do it instead of down locking, the charging hours are:
Mon-Fri 07:15 - 18:00
Sat 08:00 - 18:00
Sun 09:00 - 17:00
Outside my AM area but I’ve been there so have editing rights. I’m L4.
Done. You might like to check.
I’ve left the roads locked at L4, which is high enough IMHO.
Iain (house) is the expert on these.
Nearly - but not quite! :ugeek:
You’ve got the toll settings and time restrictions absolutely right. The problem was at the north-west end of the bridge. Where you had separated the overlapping segments, you had done it at the junction, creating a fork that will give keep left/right instructions. The overlapping segments must overlap perfectly at the junction node to avoid this.
What I’ve done is move the separated section slightly away from the junction node. I’ve also added another separation at the other end of the bridge. That just makes it more convenient to select either segment and check turn restrictions - when you’re zoomed in close enough to select either segment easily, you can’t “see” both ends of the bridge.
I think L4 will be OK for this. I know this method is still really a “hack” of the map and there’s some chance a L4 editor may revert it without realising why it’s there. On the other hand, it’s only “street” type so I assume it’s not as critical a route as, say, the M25 Dartford Crossing.
