L5: Greater Manchester - M60 J12 - speed limits wrong

When I updated this junction due to a change in the roadworks around a month ago, I accidentally left these 2 segments (after the M62 E/B exit split) with a 50mph speed limit rather than setting them at 70. Could anybody correct this for me please?

Hi David, I’ve made the change at the exact place the 50mph ends.

Thanks for changing the speed limits - but you’ve also changed the geometry and now the split between M60(N) and M60(S) traffic is around 200m too soon.

I assume you don’t drive that sliproad very often and so your decision on moving the split to the SW was at least partially based on the satellite images. Unfortunately, with the roadworks as they are, this now directs traffic for the M60(S) into a coned-off area rather than onto the actual sliproad.

Can I suggest the geometry goes back to a split near the point where the M60(CW) > M602 sliproad is at its closest - and that this node forms the transition from 50mph to 70mph limit?

The speed limits are now correct and the geometry has been largely “fixed” by TimBones so I am closing this request. However, we will probably have to change it all again in the next month or so, as it seems the next phase of roadworks (in September) may well involve another change to the layout of junction 12.
