BTW, since you’re a level 5, I figure you know the answer to this question, but once I get 100,000 “points” do I automatically move up to level 2 (or is it level 3) status? I’m level 1 right now.
When I looked on the wiki for this it was somewhat ambiguous and I think the information may have been out of date.
To clarify, editor ranks are based on map updates not points. Editor rank updates are not automatic; you’ll have to request it.
The wiki for editor ranks is still current AFAIK. The only change is that requests for rank updates are done via the support page. Emails to support no longer work.
You’ll need to click through the support screens a few times (on the answer not found link) until you get to a form that you can use to submit a request.
Ok, thanks. I appear to be nowhere near “leveling up” then, even though I feel like I’ve done a lot of editing. I don’t understand how you guys get 100, 200k+ edits. Unless I’ve actually driven the roads around where I’m editing, I don’t feel super comfortable changing things. Do you drive around places to scope things out, or do you just not feel that discomfort?
