Long Mile Rd splits before the gas station entrance which makes directions frustrating. http://bit.ly/1QEnbfD
Hi Yanis,
What do you think should be done at this location? I’ve added a similar question to the UR; I’m not sure what the best arrangement is.

Hi David, happy new year! There are a two points:
- According to the reporter, coming from Long Mile Rd there is an unnecessary keep left so we should rename one of these segments http://j.mp/1mDP0b1.
- Coming from Long Mile Rd, you can enter the gas station http://j.mp/1MRbytZ so the split should be after this segment http://j.mp/1mDOKZz.
Happy New Year to all!
From R110 Long Mile Rd (Westbound), I believe the following instructions would be the best:
- To R110 Naas Rd (Westbound): just 1 “Keep Left”
- To the junction and then straight to R134 Nangor Rd: “No instruction” as Best Continuation
- To Petrol station: just 1 “Turn right”
At present, the issues are:
- To R110 Naas Rd (Westbound): “Keep Left” then "Keep Left"

- To the junction and then straight to R134 Nangor Rd: “Keep Left” then “Keep Right”

We should also avoid unnecessary short segments before junctions as they increase inaccuracy of ETA and turn angles <20° as Wazers can’t select the arrow to report closures! (Permalink)

All of this can be easily fixed.
Happy new year to one and all!
Thanks Yanis, and thanks Stan, for your analysis of this one. This is a rotten junction, both to drive through, and to get working right in Waze. That’s why I originally locked it at L5, because I spent ages trying to get it right, and thought I mostly had it.
Anyway, I think I’ve fixed up all the issues you both raised. Let me know what you think, or how it works in practice either.
In case I missed anything, I’ve lowered the lock level on all segments in this junction to L3. Handle with care, etc ![]()
Thanks again - and will one of you close the UR when you’re convinced that it’s working right?

Thanks David.
There was no issue until the addition of the petrol station (last year) and an attempt to fix the layout/RevCons by a L5 editor visiting Ireland.
IMO, you have fixed all the issues. I just deleted some extra geonodes around (handled with care
)
Yanis, if you agree with David and me, could you mark this topic as solved
? (UR already closed!)
Thanks!
