it looks like the roadworks have finished between j5 and j4b. Can someone update the lane guidance as per the map comment, reset the speed limit to 70 and enable the 2 dummy cameras as they are now in place.
NB the average speed cameras are still in place but probably due for removal
thanks
Just looking at it now.
Do you know where the 50mph now ends. I suspect I may have to split the previous segment to get it in the right place.
Been out for a drive

Brill - I’ll take another look later.
Is that 70 section definitely now 70? I drove along the J8/9-J4 section earlier this week and it was still at the interim 60 limit that came in earlier this month, and there’s been nothing in the local news or on the Highways twitter feed since then to suggest it’s now fully open.
OK - think speed limits are done.
Not exactly sure how the 60/70 change works at West side of the M4/M25 interchange, but at least the 50s are gone.
Ah… looks like the variable speed limits are ‘permanently’ set to 60mph at the moment for a testing/calibration phase.
We had that when the M27 was upgraded and it was several months so might be best to do that for now.

“Once all lanes are open, the motorway speed limit will be increased to 60mph while we calibrate the newly-installed technology. This means it will be finely adjusted to suit the particular environment of the road where it has been installed. This can only happen when there are no roadworks, and when drivers are able to use all lanes of the upgraded carriageway. As a safety measure the maximum speed limit is set at 60mph.”
