Hello,
The road layout just before J2 of the M54 has been changed.
Could someone please amend this segment so that a “Keep Left” is given for anyone exiting at J2 and a “Keep Right” instruction is given for anyone continuing onto the M54.
These instructions should be given at the UR I have placed.

I believe that putting in a keep left/keep right arrangement here will break the detour avoidance mechanism, which relies on the road name being the same right through the junction, resulting in off/on problems.
Current thinking is that KL/KR shouldn’t be used when leaving the motorway incorrectly can easily be recovered by crossing the roundabout and rejoining. At some point, we have to depend on the driver actually looking out the windscreen and reading the signs.
I am aware that recent changes in how Waze handles alt-names may provide a way around this problem. However the changes were made without announcement and better brains than mine are still working out what the effects are. And, since the new behaviour is unannounced, it may disappear again without notice.
I hadn’t though about the detour avoidance and you’re right to say it’s easy to get back on. I’ll keep an eye on any URs that pop-up there.
