L5 Update: Ontario - Mississauga (Ch. Mavis Rd)

Hi Editors, I’d appreciate your help with a map update.

Reason: The LG from NB Mavis to the EB 403 ramp is actually | :up_arrow: | :up_arrow: | :up_arrow: | :up_right_arrow: :right_arrow: |

Also, can we just disable the turn movement that goes from EB 403 off-ramp to Mavis > NB Mavis > EB 403 on-ramp. It VERY dangerous maneuver when you have heavy traffic on WB Centre View turning right at the same time, no matter what time of day it is in daytime hours. This is for safety on all motorists, even if someone accidentally takes the Mavis exit and wants to go back onto the EB 403.

Thank you in advance,

First request
On Mavis Rd, if I change the intersection at Centre View Dr to allow going straight in the right lane, I have no choice but to add a 4th lane turning at the intersection of Hwy 403 E / Toronto.
At the intersection of Hwy 403, there is no visible line between the 3rd and 4th lanes (from the left).
Therefore, there is an imaginary 4th lane between the two intersections.

Which gives:
Centre View Dr: S-S-S-SR
Hwy 403 E: S-S-S-R

Since there is no line between the 3rd and 4th lanes and the entrance is 8 meters wide, quickly narrowing to 4.7 meters,

it could also be:
Hwy 403 E: S-S-SR-R
Since there are no road markings indicating this, I will stick with a single lane for the Hwy 403 entrance: S-S-S-R
We’ll see.

For your second request:
Disable the turn movement that goes from the eastbound 403 off-ramp to Mavis > northbound Mavis > eastbound 403 on-ramp

This is a very rare situation.

With a junction box, I don’t know why the turn movement inherits the public transport restriction.
The other option would be to connect the Hwy 403 entrance node with the exit ramp node to Mavis Rd N at the Mavis intersection. I prefer not to touch it.

For all these reasons, I’m leaving it as is.

Oh come on! There have been vehicles making last second lane change/jumping over (2nd lane from the right to the right lane) after the Centre View traffic light, which could’ve been a rear-ended collision because the people on the 4th lane are doing the right thing to go straight past the lights (as there are markings). The lane setups were fine until the Mavis segments were divided not too long ago, but was messed up a bit at that intersection.
Btw, a UR reported this issue last weekend.

Yes I agree to this, it should connect to the Mavis/Centre View node if we want to keep the paths (but the paths needs to be reconfigured though), and then disable the to Mavis N exit turn to the EB 403 entrance.

Ho Ho
I don’t know what happened.
I was certain I had changed the intersection of Centre View Dr to S-S-S-SR as I mentioned previously.

It’s done now.

The second request may occur on very rare occasions
and can remain as is.

I think you meant to put like this (screenshot below), because setting a right turn for EB 403 on-ramp would confuse people that it’s more of turning right on Centre View.
(P.S. The practice mode seems to be broken, I had to do a bit of photoshop to match it.)

I do simplified it.
