Hey guys a but new to editing. It seems there are not alot of waze users in Lake Charles. The whole area is under major construction so expect alot of work to need to be done .
Based on what I’ve seen, lake Charles has quite a heavy Waze following. However, nobody from Lake Charles has ever expressed any interest in editing, so it’s always been handled by people from out of town.
If major changes are going to be required, due to construction, you’ll need the assistance of a high-level editor, such as myself, sketch or bz2012.

Thanks for the fast reply. Lake Charles gets a fair amount of thru traffic and tourist (casinos) but we are still slow to grow local users. I plan to attempt to be one of the areas first local map editors. The main area that needs to be updated is between the casino area and prien lake park. A roundabout was put in and an underpass between west prien lake road and the casinos . That area is locked on level two and the interstate of course needs a level 5 to put in the interstate .

I am slowly getting into the map editing thing to help our local public safety officials due to all of the construction and such. My wife works for the Emergency Management Agency of the Parish and I work for the City of Sulphur’s Police Department. I’m only a level one, but with time hopefully that will increase. If any area needs to be visually checked let me know and I will drive to that area, or have someone, or get with the parish’s GIS mapping department to address it. (The GIS supervisor is my wife’s aunt so I kind of have an inside track)
